To control fleas, ticks*, and lice: Start spraying at the tail, moving the dispenser rapidly and making sure that the animals entire body is covered, including the legs and underbody. While spraying, fluff the hair so that the spray will penetrate to the skin. Make sure spray wets thoroughly, but do not saturate animal. Do not spray into eyes and face. Avoid contact with genitalia. Wear rubber gloves or mitts when applying this product. Do not use on puppies under twelve weeks. Consult a veterinarian before using this product on debilitated, medicated, aged, pregnant or nursing animals. Do not use on cats or kittens. *including Ticks which can carry Lyme disease, Powassan, and Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever

Add a layer of protection to your clothing and gear with Permethrin insect and tick repellent spray — perfect for use on shirts, jackets, pants, socks, shoes, boots, sleeping bags, tents, netting, when outdoors, camping, hunting, or on travel.

Bonded to Fabric
Once your treatment of Sawyer Permethrin has fully dried and bonded with your fabric fibers, the amount that can come out via physical contact or water exposure is indeterminately small. It is extended UV exposure or the heavy agitation of a washing machine that degrades the insect repellent treatment much like the dye in a t-shirt.

The EPA recommends using 4.5 ounces of Permethrin to spray each outfit, Treats 4 outfits

Protection from Diseases
Repels mosquitoes which may carry the Zika Virus, Yellow Fever, Dengue, and Chikungunya. Repels and kills ticks which may carry Lyme Disease

Safe for Use on Dogs
Sawyer Permethrin can be applied to dogs to help control fleas and lice for 35 days and against ticks for 6 weeks. Official application instructions for use on dogs can be found at sawyer.com/dogs.

Sawyer Permethrin is 100% odorless after drying. It does not harm any fabrics or finishes and can be applied to fabrics as sensitive as silk.

73.6x Protection
Reduce likelihood of a tick bite by 73.6 times by treating shoes and socks with Permethrin (University of Rhode Island study - 2011).

How to use Permethrin.

The more Permethrin treated fabric surface area you have near you, the more protected you will be from mosquitoes and ticks. This fabric insect repellent can be used to treat clothing, footwear, workwear, bibs, canvas, work stations, seat covers, animal beds, hammocks, chairs, tents, and other fabrics.

Permethrin ni nini?

Permethrin is a synthetic version of the Chrysanthemum flower’s natural insect repellent pyrethrin. The naturally occurring version breaks down rather quickly in sunlight but Sawyer’s pharmaceutical grade, synthetic Permethrin can last 6 weeks or 6 washings on clothing and other fabrics, making it a fantastic odorless barrier of protection from mosquitoes and ticks.

Is Sawyer Permethrin safe around cats?

Permethrin should not be applied near cats or aquatic animals. Cats have a very unique and sensitive central nervous system, and you never want to apply it to them or even spray it near them during the application process. However, once the treated clothing, gear, or fabric has fully dried, it is completely safe to wear/use around cats.

The QR code printed on our filters brings users to our website's help page, where they can select one of the ten available languages. When in-person demonstrations and training are impossible, users are able to learn everything they need to know about their filter at the point of use.

The QR codes can also be scanned into GIS survey software for monitoring and evaluation of the filters. This replaces the bar codes that were previously used.
