Born in London, James graduated in Marketing Communications and went on to work for global brands such as Disney, Universal Music and Turner Broadcasting. After a sabbatical backpacking through Asia and Australia, James became a travel writer for Asian airline publications including Singapore Airlines and Cathay Pacific. As a freelancer, he spent four years reporting for VOGUE, living in Japan, the UK and North America.
